About Dr Batuule
Dr David Batuule is an experienced and dedicated Specialist Urologist known for his meticulous clinical approach and commitment to patient care.
He previously served as Clinical Head of the Urology Department at St Aidan’s and King Edward Hospitals in Durban, key referral centres for urology in KwaZulu-Natal. During his tenure, he contributed to the expansion and modernisation of urological services, including the introduction of advanced treatment techniques such as prostate brachytherapy.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr Batuule was actively involved in academic medicine as an Honorary Lecturer at the University of KwaZulu-Natal from 2005 to 2023, contributing to the training of both undergraduate medical students and specialist urologists.
He continues to provide specialist care in private practice, with a focus on ethical, evidence-based and patient-inclusive treatment.
